• Soil Check: Before watering, stick your finger about an inch into the soil. If the top inch feels dry to the touch, it's time to water. If it's still moist, wait a bit longer before checking again.
• Watering Technique: Water the plant thoroughly but avoid letting it sit in standing water. Allow water to drain from the bottom of the pot. Empty the saucer under the pot if excess water accumulates.
• Frequency: Dieffenbachias prefer to be kept evenly moist, but they don't like to sit in waterlogged soil. Depending on factors like temperature, humidity, and pot size, you might need to water every 1-2 weeks on average.
• Avoid Overwatering: Dieffenbachias are susceptible to root rot if the soil remains soggy. It's better to slightly underwater than overwater. If you're uncertain, it's safer to wait a little longer before watering.
